Googlewhacking: This is when you type in a search term in to Google.com, and only get a single 'hit' or result. For it to count, all the words must be in the dictionary. This sad sport was brought to my attention by an article in The Independant newspaper, and I decided to have a try myself. All the terms below returned a 'Googlewhack', although 'washbottle' wasn't in the dictionary, and probably doesn't count. For some reason, Scatalogical wasn't either (dictionary words are underlined at the top of the screen). The near-misses are where only one of the words are underlined, leaving me with only 3 proper googlewhacks: Marimba Flexagon, Pekinese Oubliette and Courgette Fieldmouse, but if the rules are followed strictly, only the first 2 count because the latter looks like a word list.
